The Preliminary
The preliminary date shall only take place should entries exceed 30 contestants. Contestants will be notified by February 2nd if a preliminary round is required. During the preliminary, judges will score all contestants. The top 30 will move on to the 4-week contest. These scores will not carry over to the contest.
The 4-Week Contest
All contestants are required to perform on each date. Missing a contest date will result in automatic disqualification. See “Stand In” section for details. Last-place contestants are not removed from the contest. Scores are calculated each night and carry over to the following week.
Song Choices
A song choice may be submitted any time prior to the start of a contest. No changes are allowed once a contest has commenced.

No two contestants may perform the same song on any given night, and no contestant may perform the same song more than once during the competition.

Judges will notify contestants of any conflicts and have the final say on song selections.
The Stand In
Contestants are allowed to miss one date without being automatically disqualified, provided they supply a stand-in performer. The stand-in will receive a 20-point penalty in the Vocal Category, and their score will be added to the contestant’s total. Failure to provide a stand-in will result in automatic disqualification.
Score Discussion
At the conclusion of each contest date, contestants may request a private score discussion with the judges. Judges will provide feedback and improvement tips. Contestants will receive a copy of their score sheets; originals will remain with the judges.
Online Scoring System
Maggie Meyers reserves the right to use a secure online or digital scoring system in place of paper score sheets. In such cases, judges will enter scores electronically using tablets or computers. All scoring categories, descriptions, and transparency policies will remain the same. Digital records will be securely stored and made available to contestants upon request.
Judges and Scoring
A minimum of three judges will be selected by Maggie Meyers for each contest. Additional judges may be added at the discretion of the organizers. Score sheets (digital or paper) are finalized once all judges sign or submit electronically.

Scores cannot be changed after being submitted, except for the addition of crowd vote points.

Transparent scoring will be implemented. Any contestant may request the scores of any other contestant at any time.

In the event of a tie for 1st or 2nd place, contestants will perform one additional song to determine placement. Prize money will be presented at the conclusion of the final contest.
